The Pacific Crest Trail Association (PCTA) has just published a blog post about Bill Meyer and our Pass to Pass hike. Its a great read. You should check it out.
The PCTA is a great organization which provides a one stop shopping for anything related to the Pacific Crest Trail, formally known as Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail. The trail goes from Mexico to Canada for a total of 2,659 miles. Of course we are doing only 72 miles of it. Click on the map to explore the PCT in detail courtesy of the National Forest service.
Our hike team hopes to do some volunteer work for PCTA while on the trail. We will do an assessment of each of the campsites along the stretch of trail we are hiking recording the condition of the site and features such as water source, number of tent sites, etc.
