The team is getting lower in elevation and by Sand Lake, ( Visit Rainier description of this lake and trail) so it is a pleasant surprise to actually receive 2 pictures from the group by phone as well as the Garmin message.  “Made it to Sand Lake before lunch! Team  hiked well. Everyone healthy and strong. Swarms of mosquitoes though, so we are eating in our tents. Might be like this for the rest of the day.”
