For the Trip 2 team, trip leader Irene reports:

“Oh my! We’re in the mountains! Foggy, cloudy morning. Moved fast to beat the predicted afternoon storms. Now we’ve had dinner as the sun sets. Enjoyed a lovely day; a few sprinted up to Twin Lakes. So much for Garmin weather reports. Our llamas impress other hikers. Lots of mushrooms and few mosquitos.”

The team’s itinerary calls for camping at Snow Lake (photo above) Sunday night after hiking approximately 4 miles. Monday the team is scheduled to cover 7.4 miles—the biggest distance day of the hike.
