The Trip 4 team’s adventure began Wednesday at the White Pass Trailhead. They will hike approximately 30 miles over six days ending at the Chinook Pass Trailhead.

Mountaineers.org says of this route: “The scenery unfolds and becomes more spectacular each day. … Wildflower meadows, bug ponds, and small lakes evolve into beautiful crest vistas of the Goat Rocks, Mt. St. Helens, and Mt. Rainier.”

Trip leader Dan reported Wednesday evening:

“All healthy and happy. Camping at Buesch Lake. 6.4 miles today. Strong hikers!

“Very few bugs relatively. Great weather: Sunny and not too hot. Breeze coming up – woohoo!

“Snow Lake tomorrow. Lighter hiking day; time for swimming and exploring!”
