Jerry Bassett, PasstoPass hiker from Wenatchee received a $1100 grant from the Community Foundation of North Central Washington. He is recently retired and working with others in the community to establish regular day hikes in Central Washington. Jerry will also be a trip leader in 2024 and on the board starting in 2024.

The North Central Washington Chapter of PtP will provide support services and a safe environment for Parkinson’ patients to be able to hike local trails. Jerry has already found some volunteers from the local health community to assist him. These funds will provide Jerry and the larger organization of PasstoPass with Wilderness 1st Aid training and kits for the local chapter and the means to promote their plans.

Other former and current PasstoPass hikers are becoming local leaders in their home town area as PasstoPass expands to a national organization with multiple chapters promoting regular day hikes of local trails. Current chapters are listed on our Regional Chapters Day Hikes , some are up and running and some are getting underway and some are starting to plan-please let us know if you are interested in volunteering in your area.
Congratulations! What great news. Thank you so much, Jerry, for helping to keep Pass to Pass alive and well!
