Regional chapters are planning day hikes in local areas to support the overall mission of PasstoPass.org.

Southern California Chapter – 2023 Trip Details
March 11, 8a-11a
Mt. Baldy Day Hike
Description: First mile is uphill on a paved road, closed to traffic. Then road becomes a dirt fire
service road. First 1.5-2 miles up hill, moderate incline…then we’ll turn around and head downhill.
Bring your own picnic and lawn chair to enjoy with others after the hike. No cost.
Skill level: Beginner, for those who can walk 2-3+ miles with no balance issues. Family, friends and canines welcome. RSVP for more details.
April 14-16
San Jacinto Overnight Backpacking
Description: 3 day, 2 night trip. First day is 3 miles uphill (1,000+ ft) to camp, next day will day hike to peak (8 miles RT). Fresh water spring available at camp. You will need to purchase a tram ticket to get to trailhead (RT ticket is $60)
Skill level: Intermediate, for those with overnight backpacking experience who own the appropriate gear and can carry a full pack for 2 nights. For those who can hike up to 8+ miles with little to no problems.

Western Washington, Puget Sound Region Chapter
Each of our hikes will begin at 10am and include hourly breaks. Car pooling is encouraged.
Fri, March 3 – Ebey’s Landing – Whidbey Island
6.6 miles, 260 ft elevation Beach Walk
Requires the use of the Mukelteo Ferry – car pooling will reduce the costs of the ferry.
Sat, March 11 – Seward Park – Seattle, Lake Washington
4 miles, about 200 ft elevation
Wed, March 22 – Kelsey Creek Park – Bellevue
4 miles, about 200 ft elevation
This hike will include the Bellevue Botanical Gardens
Fri, April 7 – Tiger Mountain – Issaquah
5 to 7 miles, 750 ft elevation
We will hike the Nook trail in the morning, and the Summit #3 trail after lunch.
Sun, April 16 – Ebey’s Landing – Whidbey Island
5.7 miles, 260 ft elevation Beach Walk
Requires the use of the Mukelteo Ferry – car pooling suggested.
Wed, April 26 – Twin Falls – North Bend
5 miles, 600 ft elevation
We will park at the Mt. Washington Trailhead, I-90 Exit 38 and hike downhill from the John Wayne Trail to both of the Twin Falls.
