The Eastern Washington Chapter completed a lovely hike in the McKenzie Conservation Area on the North end of Newman lake. As the weather heats up we made the call to move our hike from Saltese Flats to a trail with more tree cover. Couldn’t have picked a better walk! The trail is a short hike in the woods to Turtle Rock that provides very nice views of Newman lake. Thanks to all who attended, especially Dan, who made the drive all the way from Sandpoint ID.

And we had a friend keeping an eye on us…
