Tamara , longtime hiker and now a trip leader too spent a Saturday at the Parkinson’s Expo sharing information about our organization and her trip to the Joe Dodge Lodge. The Appalachian Mountain Club maintains a lodge near Pinkham Notch and Tam will be leading hikes from the lodge and then enjoying dinner meals and a comfortable night at the lodge in September. The Fall tree colors should add a special beauty to the hikes as well.
We have 2 other modified hikes on the east coast this Fall. Finger Lakes in New York with day hikes and B&B overnight and the Big Meadows in Shenandoah Park, Virginia with the choice of staying at the lodge or car camping together.
It is a wonderful hiking season in 2026 with a range of locations and levels of difficulty. We will be underway in just a few weeks.
