Assistant trip leader Eric reported the Trip 4 team successfully completed their hike and all hikers were off the trail at Chinook Pass Trailhead by 3 p.m.

Congratulations!

Last night, the group planned that trip leader Dave would start off at 7:30 a.m this morning with the slowest hikers in the group.

At about 9:45 a.m., Eric reported:

“Llamas and [remaining] hikers are leaving camp in a few minutes. All is well. Beautiful day ahead.”

The mid-afternoon update:

“Trip concluded. For the day: 5.5 miles, 925 feet up, 956 feet down. Everyone in great spirits. Trail angels are amazing.

“As we approached Chinook Pass Trailhead, Eric described and promoted PasstoPass to perhaps 60 people, all of whom were very interested. Several may wish to become volunteers. What an amazing organization!”

The llamas will spend the night at White Pass Trailhead horse camp with trail angels Mike and Mary. Trip 5 begins Wednesday.
