“Perched just below Kearsarge Pass on the West side at 10,945‘” The team hiked 8.7 miles, climbing 1,530′ and dropping 1,935’. Today they had an early morning thunderstorm at 8:45 am shortly after they started hiking at 7 am.
The last camp is turned into a relaxing “spa” with a lake, tanning opportunities and George harvesting mushrooms from the trail for a soup. They were at Bullfrog Lake for lunch and met a few bugs at Vidette Meadow on the way to camp. A mother deer and fawn were close enough to observe.
We will get some real pictures from the team when they get off the trail and stories too.
