“Made it to camp. Eight-mile day. Some steep, rocky terrain. Multiple sketchy sections with loose, eroded trail. We’re tired but doing well.
“We’re at a large pond. Going swimming soon.
“Today we saw a naked deer. He was a 12-pointed buck. Don’t ask how we knew he was a buck (did I mention he was naked?).
“ … Swim, then dinner, then bed. Good night.”
