Ten of us did the Piedras Pintadas Trail hike on April 20th. It was a memorable 3.7 mile hike. We set off through the Southern California chaparral. Sunlight filtered through the scrub brush, casting interesting patterns on the dry ground. The warm air carried the earthy scent of the chaparral and the occasional chirp of a wrentit. We took a break at the high point of the hike to enjoy the view, and the camaraderie making the hike even more enjoyable. This trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime.
