Trip leader Katie reported Friday evening for the Trip 5 team:

“After an on-time start (8:06 a.m.!), the team crushed the day on the trail. The Bumping River crossing went as smoothly as it could, even though the water was a bit chilly!

“After 4.5 hours in some humid weather, the team arrived at camp. Llamas are happily chomping grass while the humans eat tasty backpacking meals.

“A few hikers went for a swim while others explored. The debate today has been whether we stop at Anderson Lake tomorrow night or push on to Dewey Lake and enjoy a zero day on Sunday. Stay tuned to hear the outcome!”

Today the team hiked approximately 7 miles. They are camping in a beautiful meadow near Crag Lake.
